What parents get out of it: an honest read on where your athlete stands — what they do well, what's holding them back, and exactly what to work on. Even if you never book another session, you leave knowing more about your kid's game than you did walking in.

Sessions are one-on-one, scheduled around school and team practice.

Booking takes about a minute. Coach Nick confirms your time personally within 24 hours.

Your coach

Coach Nick Schroeder

Nick has coached athletes professionally since 2017 — including five years as head strength & conditioning coach at Professional Baseball Instruction in Ramsey, where he trained over 100 youth players a year across club teams from 9U to 13U. Today he runs SchroFit, coaches Oakland's 13U club team, and leads a 150-member training studio as head coach.

He's also still a competitor — a six-time HYROX athlete ranked in the top 10% — which is why parents keep saying the same thing: he doesn't just train kids, he connects with them.

Common questions

Is strength training safe for kids?

Yes — when it's supervised and age-appropriate. Youth strength training done with proper coaching builds coordination, bone strength, and injury resistance; the risks come from unsupervised training and poor technique, which is exactly what a coach is for. Nick is a certified ACE Youth Fitness Specialist, and every SchroFit program is scaled to your athlete's age and stage of development.

What ages does Coach Nick work with?

Most youth athletes are between 8 and 18, and Nick adjusts the coaching style, exercises, and intensity for each age. He also trains adults — several families train with him together.

What happens at the first assessment?

Your athlete gets a real workout — fun, challenging, and safe — while Coach Nick evaluates movement, strength, speed, and attitude. Afterward you'll get his honest read on where your kid stands and a plan for what to build. There's no obligation to continue.

What should my kid bring?

Athletic clothes, sneakers, and a water bottle. For baseball lessons, bring their glove and bat if they have them.

How do packages work after the assessment?

If it's a fit, Nick will recommend a session package based on your athlete's goals and schedule — weekly one-on-one training is the most common. You choose what works; there's never pressure to buy.
